Painless DNA Sample Collection -  DNA samples are taken by using  buccal swabs which are painless and non-invasive. A buccal swab is very similar to a cotton swab or Q-Tip. Buccal swab samples are obtained by using cotton or synthetic swabs to collect cells by gently stroking the lining of the inner cheek. These cells contain the DNA required to perform the DNA testing. DNA testing with buccal swabs is painless and just as reliable as DNA testing with blood.

Accuracy - Industry wide, paternity tests are generated using as few as four markers, to as many as 16 markers. The laboratory we use, routinely uses a 16 marker test that can achieve a probability of > 99.999%. Should a complex case arise, our lab can test an additional 5 markers, for a total of 21 genetic markers.
